Initially a freelance web designer & developer — which is also how I independently financed my studies in Digital Media at the University of the Arts Bremen (2009–2013).

In 2015 I built Shopengine, a headless e-commerce service and embeddable checkout widget, initially for a live “Höhle der Löwen” TV event — it handled 50K+ concurrent shoppers with active carts on an event-sourced system with zero downtime.

In March 2023 I sold the crash-detection company Tocsen (presented on the German TV show “Das Ding des Jahres”, ProSieben), which I co-founded in 2018 and financed with millions in crowdfunding, seed and VC money, to the British company Aleck (velobiz article).

As part of the sale I served as Managing Director of Tocsen GmbH from 2023 to 2025 through the transition, responsible for the EU branch of the Aleck Group — and as CTO of the group.

At Tocsen and Aleck I played a key role in shaping the product and defining the technology stack, built and led multiple software teams, and was responsible for a wide range of business operations — as is typical for founders. We shipped hundreds of thousands of Bluetooth crash sensors and audio devices, with even more app installations and users.

Independently of this I have been founder, shareholder and managing director of Brainspin since 2017 — a web development agency that grew out of my former freelance business. From 2017 to 2024 we were a team of five, working with clients such as Reishunger, QLF, Fairfood and Ergotopia.

I put the agency business on hold in 2025 and transformed Brainspin into my holding company.

Since 2025 I have been building Lumi Fave — two complementary automation-first businesses: Cardmuseum, a revenue-generating e-commerce operation, and Shield N Show, a long-term B2B product brand. They run with zero employees on 52 n8n workflows with LLM orchestration and custom integrations across marketplace and ERP systems; running them takes about two days a week, almost none of it operations.
